-
Very good. Different geographical flavor, which helps bring differentiality.
-
Delicious Food. Spaced seating and Mask wearing severs.
-
Thats my go to for fresh tasting seafood. Only reason it did not get 5 stars is i've noticed the quality of service and attentiveness from the waitstaff has gone down a bit.
-
Brand new restaurant, awesome food and service, definitely will comeback ????
-
The mussels and calamari were cooked to perfection...wonderful staff and very clean...we love the food
-
Love going to this restaurant...
My favorite dish is Camaron a Gusto with the Nayarit sauce and with a Strawberry Margarita, it's freaken awesome...??? -
The bacon wrapped shrimp was very tasty. I wouldn't recommend the fried fish. Next time I want to try the Campuchana. (Shrimp and oyster cocktail) it looked so good.
-
Oh wow the food was great. I loved the shrimp ? I ate they tasted awesome. I will give the waitress a 3 she could use a little push to be a little nicer. But overall it was great.
-
Food tastes amazing. Highly recommend going. Yes, it's a bit pricey. The plates are large.

-
Great service and great food.
-
Never fails to satisfy me. You should really try the paella and the ceviche, YUM-MY. And the service is just as excellent as their food.
-
We have been to Las Islas Marias twice now. The food is really good, the drinks are even better. We always have fun with the music on Fridays.
-
Great food and drinks. Waitress... Not so good.
-
Great place! Don't get the Shrimp cocktail though, it's so watery. Everything else is amazing.
-
The Customer service provided here was excellent! The Food was so delicious!! Earned a customer will definitely be back here.

My mouth is still salivating thinking about eating here. We came with a group of four and there was about a 15 minute wait. We were seated and brought out some tostadas, limes, salsas, and complimentary ceviche! It was very fresh and not fishy tasting- very good. Our group decided to get the cerveza preparadas with six tecates garnished with shrimp, cucumbers, chamoy, lime, etc. we originally thought it was a little pricy at $45 but omg its a bargain! It comes served on a huge platter with seafood on it including crab and octopus. It's drinks and an appetizer. My husband and i split the paella and half a dozen oysters. The oysters were fresh and just what you would expect. The paella was delicious. Maybe a tad bit salty, but the beer helped with that. This place was really delicious and had large servings and blew my expectations out of the water. We will definitely be back!
-
Great quality Food..Shrimp Cocktail, Fajita on the grill with the best White rice I've ever had....Fresh, very flavorful, hot off the grill, with the best Margaritas and Sex on the Beach beverages to wash it down.....Outstanding Customer service?
-
I had the pasta Mariners it had shrimp, octopus and and mussels, the plate was really good and filling. This plate could feed 2 with a light appetite. The service is good the waitress was attentive and quick to take our order. The prices are average to high it is seafood so expect to pay between 14-20 a person.
-
It was a great environment, the drinks was good, but if your at a sea food restaurant, order sea food. The server got all are order right. The prices was fair.
-
Going in you think it was a Mexican restaurant....but the fact that it's sea food..man....this place is one of the best on town with sea food..plus they have different groups or small band's that come there and play live songs for you....fairly priced, accordingly...
-
The selection is incredible! Our waitress Rosita. Was so friendly, courteous, informative, just amazing! Thank you for a great experience. We will be back soon....with friends!
-
Yum! Good prices on beer too
-
So I went to eat today with my boyfriend and my best friend and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the restaurant the service was great and the food was even better the only thing I'd change was the loud music but other then that so good I'd recommend going to this restaurant again
-
This is our favorite seafood restaurant! We especially love the camarones a la diabla! They have great service as well the waitresses are very attentive and helpful. They have good drinks too and a lot of variety of seafood.
-
Went here a while back. If you're looking for Mexican seafood this is the place! They have anything and everything!
-
Good Mexican seafood option. The Piña Rellena was very good which I highly recommend.
-
I would love to give it a five star but refuse to give less than 4 because it is a good restaurant. Always had beautiful waitresses and a great atmosphere. But lately service has been worse than previous times. The ceviche portion is now smaller and the marina pasta is always good but paying same price for a smaller plate now. I just hope they start fixing things.
-
They have good food, it's a nice place
-
Food was delicious, great portions! Mariachi músic playing & they kindly ask if you’d like to request a song. Margaritas were delicious & priced very fairly. Our sever was kind & attentive.
-
A little hidden but a delightful atmosphere and delicious food. !
-
I dont usually do this but here' goes. Came for lunch. Not a lot of bussiness so i was weary. Got the fajita plate and was not dissapointed. Everything cooked perfect, including the rice. Good service and good food. This was my expierince on tuesday around 12. Thanks guys keep it up.
Side note: free ceviche to start. Very nice.
-
We were a party of two, she ordered a small shrimp cocktail, and me a "sopa de Mariscos" with tea. The Service and food were good, a bit over-priced, especially if you're on a budget. Over all 4stars?
-
Love it! Best sea food and amazing service. I am introducing this place to all my special friends.
-
I liked this restaurant, I went in with my family and the food was good, I don't give them 5 stars because my wife wanted a live lobster, and when we asked to see it so she can choose, they said they were in the kitchen and that we couldn't see it. That made me thing they weren't life because usually everywhere where they have live lobster, they have them where they can be seen by the costumers so she picked something else from the menu. I would definitely come back, just wouldn't be eating a lobster.
-
Awesome place, good service and delicious food, come and check for yourself, you will love it.
-
ceviche is prob the best in San Antonio!! good place excellent salsa!!! Mexicans restaurant should be rated on how spicy or good thier salsa is!!
-
This is one of the best seafood restaurants in town with this distinct flavor of salsa nayarit ?
-
It was ok but didn't like that I had to peal the shrimp shell off the shrimp from the soup. First time there but I'll go again and try something different next time. My waitress was super nice.
-
Exelent good sea food fresh 100%
-
Love their food . The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the waitstaff doesn't come back after they deliver your meal. But other than that the food is amazing . They automatically give you some ceviche to start off with and i must say it's delicious .
-
They do have loud music, but I enjoy the mariachi singing. The ceviche here is the best item, It has a salty sour flavor very well mixed. The shrimp cocktail is really good with the tostadas. Service may not always be fast, but overall the food is great.
-
The atmosphere was welcoming with music videos, the Mariachi Quiroga stopped by. Very nice & quick service English & Spanish speaking employees. The menu has minimal dishes w/o jalapeno and or hot spices. They served fish ceviche, homade corn tostadas, mild+/hot salsa, and limes as appetizer. Main course fajitas steak(tender- seasoned)shrimp, onion,g/r peppers(grilled), HOT flour tortillas in warmer and french fries. Sweet tea with lemon(refills). My entire birthday experience was AWESOME?. The food portion was enough for two and the cost was $$. Definitely worth it!!! I ate my food before I took a picture. This is another awesome meal pictuted. I will go again???!!!!
-
Good food. Good service and it's reasonable
-
First time here for me but neighbors and friends had rant and raved about it so I had to try it out for myself. I have to say the drinks are to die for and the sauces they serve while you wait for the to take your order are amazing. Prices are up there but worth every penny. We actually only came for drinks so we had appetizers and had ceviche and empanadas de camaron but wow they are so delicious not to mention the chipotle they do is very good. Next time I'm bringing the hubby but only when I'm hungry so he can pay do everything jk. He will love this place. The tostadas are so good with the ceviche and that green sauce with lime juice is super spicy but good. The other one is milder. The empanadas are made of shrimp and are delicious and not greasy at all you dip them in the chipotle sauce they come with. The waitresses really don't come to the table often you need to call them if you need something but they are nice girls. Drinks are pricey but good and worth it. Will come back soon with the kids and hubby.
-
Very clean place, not expensive at all, serve a very good amount of food, very good service, waitress very nice and kindness strongly recommended
-
Good service, great food, pleasant atmosphere, easy to drive to, clean.
-
I've gone here twice, once for my birthday and I loved it. I got the 7 Mares soup both times because I love me some great seafood caldo. All my friends who went to dinner for my birthday said they liked it too.
I would go here more often if I lived closer.
-
First time here. My husband had the fried tilapia and it was very delicious. I got the three fish tacos. OMG!!! They were Awesome. Would definitely recommend this place.
-
Food is delicious!!! Second time visiting this place and it did not disappoint. The service is pretty decent. Love the little appetizers they serve you when your seated. Would defend recommend the green ceviche, it's so yummy!! I really liked that they have a big parking lot because it can get pretty busy.
-
Delicious sea food, affordable prices and friendly staff!
-
The best seafood in San Antonio. Order anything with the Nayarit sauce. Shrimp, octopus. Yum! Also the ceviche ia great. Be sure to share with a friend. Great margaritas also.
-
The seafood pasta is always delightful and jam packed with seafood. A place that never changes their serving portions and the Sangria Preparada always perfect. A little bit noisy on the weekends but in all very tasty place.
-
Great grilled fish plates at a reasonable price (mine was $10 bucks). The ceviche-like appetizer was very good too.
-
Really good and fresh seafood. So happy we found this place! The service is great, the staff is friendly and very accomodating.
-
The Service is great!!!! The food way better than bucanero which is overated. The 7 mares soup it will take you to heaven
-
The Paella Del Mar was on point! The crab was sweet, the octopus was cooked very well, and the rest was simply delicious! I asked for mine to be less spicy and it came out perfect. I had to force myself to stop eating or I would burst. The shrimp cocktail was great. My husband had the fish tacos and gulped down every one. I've been to the Military location and the food was just as good. The free ceviche can't be beat. It does get packed, but there is more room here at this location than the Military location. The waitresses were friendly and attentive and the mariachi's were very entertaining. All in all, I'm very picky but this place is Excellent!
-
So happy they made a new location this side of town. This is by far the best place for Mexican seafood! We came on a weekday and the place was packed! The minute you walk in you won't feel like your in the USA anymore toto, your in Mexico!
I really like the authenticity of this place. They use real molcajetes imported from Mexico, real sauce from Nayarit, Mexico and fresh ingredients. Although the mass about of people eating here speak Spanish, the wait staff is bilingual. (Luckily for me, Mi espaol es muy malo )
When you sit down your greeted with free fish ceviche and tostadas and they will bring you more if you ask!
Some must orders are the mussels! They are baked with just the right about of spice and before you know it you've eaten the entire plate! If your a big fan of soups (like me) be sure to try the 7 mares sopa. The broth has amazing flavors and accompanies the seafood. Inside the soup you'll find: crab, mussels, oysters, fish, tuna, lobster, and shrimp.
Another great dish for sharing at your table is the executive ceviche. It has generous portions of octopus, shrimp , and huge chucks of abalone This one packs a big spicy kick!Be sure to come here and bring all your friends, great large plates are wonderful for sharing. I know I sure will be returning soon!
-
I love the ambience here. We went on a Friday and they had a guy with a DJ like booth playing and singing music. I can't recall the name of the dish I ordered but it's pretty much a pineapple with ceviche and octopus in it. It was delicious!!
-
Good food!
Clean atmosphere
We had the shrimp cocktail and the molcajete ceviche..
Service was good
Beer was cold
Aside from some Creeper guy that kept on looking at my girl and licking his lips.. we will definitely come back and enjoy this awesome place!!
Bring your family and enjoy some seafood!! -
I am a seafood connoisseur! And this place really hits home for me especially when I have the fish ceviche which is every time I come here which happens to be almost every week! The ceviche is exactly the way I'm used to eating it in Mxico (Jalisco) The seafood cocktails are great also, my fave is the octopus n shrimp cocktail. Their shrimp aguachile verdes are the bomb!! Very spicy which is great. The huachinango entero (red snapper) OMG! So good! Born and raised Chicagoan which is funny bc when I discovered this place I realized that's where his restaurant comes from! Tienen que probar esta comida si eres en verdad mexicano(a) y te gustan los mariscos como yo!
-
My stepmom chose this place on our way hm, I'm glad she did! It was absolutely DELICIOUS. Atmosphere was friendly lively... music.
-
This place is really good! The menu has quite a few selections to pick from and the staff is always friendly. The ceviche is always too much for me to finish but still so tasty. I would try the agua mineral preparada, if you like cucumbers in your water.
Overall, good service, good food, and good environment!

So todays lunch was my Mom's choice. She's been wanting to try Islas Maria's. I was a little skeptic but what Mom wants, Mom gets, lol ! I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. My plate took a little longer than hers but it was worth the wait. To start they serve you what I'm assuming is a ceviche type appetizer, nothing big but enough to keep you occupied as you look over the menu. We started with some shrimp empanadas (an order of 4), we both liked them. Sorry I cant remember the names of our dishes but I've attached pics for you all to see. I read a few of the bad reviews and I myself make it a habit, or at least I try, not to go to new places during peak hours. Some reviews complained about the attentiveness of the staff and the noise. I can see how the acoustics can get bad at busy times because there were only about 7 or 8 tables seated while we were there and a couple of them got loud but nothing to complain about. Our waitress wasn't overwhelmed so she was very attentive. Over all it was a good experience. Prices put a little dent in my wallet for 2 people but I'd return if my Mom ever wants to go back....

Wow! The food was great! The decor is cute and there were multiple TVs playing World Cup soccer. We ordered the botana campechana and the charola de langostinos. Both were amazing and easily enough food for 3-4 people. The sauce from the prawns was so good that we took it home to toss our chicken wings in it for dinner. The drinks looked amazing, though we didn't try one. Can't wait to go back and try more!
